OUR ORIGIN
How WTF Farm Began
It didn’t start with a sleek business plan. In 2018, it started with a simple, growing frustration over what was going onto the dinner table—and a hard push to get away from store-bought food, mysterious ingredients, and factory-farmed meat. William, Teresa, and Alston wanted clean, reliable food raised right on their own land. Everything so far is looking really good.
When it came time to name the venture, the name built itself directly out of the people putting in the sweat: William, Teresa, and Family (W.T.F.).
Of course, working that dense South Carolina clay and chasing stubborn livestock gave those three letters a very fitting double-meaning on the rough days. But no matter how messy the chores got, the name stuck as a proud reminder of why they started: pure self-reliance, honest food, and family sweat.

Teresa Carter
Welcome to our farm. We’re glad you’re here.
I’m Teresa—a retired Air Force veteran, registered nurse, wife, mother, and lifelong believer in the value of hard work, family, and taking care of the land we’ve been blessed with.
After more than two decades of military service and a career in nursing, I found myself drawn back to something a little simpler: raising good food, working with animals, and building something meaningful from the land around us. What started as a small farm has grown into a vision for a family-owned, regenerative farm where quality matters, animals are treated with respect, and nothing is done on a large enough scale to lose the personal touch.
I’m passionate about learning, trying new things, and doing things the right way—even when the right way takes a little longer. From our heritage pigs and goats to the gardens, pastures, and plans for the future, I want this farm to reflect the values that have shaped my life: service, resilience, independence, and family.
Most of all, I want to build something we can be proud to pass down—a place where people can know where their food came from, who raised it, and why it matters.

William Carter
William Carter leads day-to-day operations at the farm, bringing a hands-on, hard-working approach to land management, equipment operation, and ongoing infrastructure development. Built on a foundation of dedication to the land, quality craftsmanship, and self-reliance, William takes pride in maintaining and expanding the farm with practical skill and attention to detail. Whether managing property line improvements, operating heavy machinery, or running daily farm maintenance, he ensures the land is worked efficiently and cared for with pride.
Alston Davis
Alston is happiest when he’s outside, especially working on the farm, where he helps feed and care for the animals and pitches in with projects around the property. He enjoys getting his hands dirty and learning what it takes to keep everything running smoothly.
When he’s not on the farm, Alston stays active with a variety of interests. He plays saxophone in the marching band and has a strong passion for music. He also enjoys spending time on the lake and golfing. More recently, he has developed an interest in photography and is excited to keep learning as he captures the people, animals, and everyday moments that make life special.
